This document contains a detailed list of actionable improvement tasks for the EDDI project. Each task is presented as a checklist item that can be marked as completed when finished.

Architecture Improvements

• Implement a more modular plugin system to make it easier to add new LLM integrations

• Refactor the conversation management system to improve scalability for high-volume deployments

• Implement a caching layer for frequently accessed bot configurations to reduce database load

• Review and optimize MongoDB usage patterns to improve performance

• Implement circuit breakers for external API calls to improve resilience

• Create a more robust error handling framework across the application

• Implement rate limiting for API endpoints to prevent abuse

• Evaluate and implement horizontal scaling capabilities for high-load scenarios

• Refactor the memory management system to reduce memory consumption for long conversations

Code Quality Improvements

• Increase unit test coverage across all modules (current coverage appears limited)
